For the second week of my project, I asked one of my friends (who asked to stay anonymous) to answer a series of questions and to give me a background of her life story.
A little back story about her life is to help you understand some of her answers better. Both of her parents were alcoholics and her dad was quite abusive. She can’t remember if it was towards her but she remembers that it was towards her mom. She had to move in with her grandparents from a young age and they never allowed her to express her own opinion/feelings. She had to balance keeping everything bottled up while dealing with constant nagging and her moms wild behaviors. As one of her good friends, I have observed a lot about her. She assumes the worse; when something bad happens and you don't reply/answer her, she will assume you are cheating/not her friend anymore. She likes to victimize herself in situations that don't pertain to her and she needs constant reassurance. She tries to act as if things don't bother her but you can tell they are taking a toll on her from her panic attacks/moods. She tends to attract toxic people in her life, from fake friends to bad boyfriends and then she's shocked when she gets a good friend. Instead of me rambling on, here's a video to explain why she has these traits. https://youtu.be/EHj9Apr49ME (The answers below the questions will be her responses to them.) What are two things you never want to do in your life? -I never want to make someone feel bad about themselves and I never want to become selfish. How would you describe your childhood? -traumatic Are you more of a scaredy cat or a risk taker? -Scaredy cat Whats one word to describe you? Why? -confusing, I never know if I make the right decisions or not. Rate your happiness from 1-10 -6.5 Do you have anxiety? If you know, what types? I have social anxiety, separation anxiety and panic anxiety. Any other mental illnesses? -I was diagnosed with depression a couple of years back but I overcame that. What are you going to do when you turn 18 (non-school wise)? -Make a difference in the world. (I asked if I can post all of this information and she said yes)

Hey guys! This is the first week into psychology with Emma. I thought you should know a little bit more about this website. This website is apart of a project I have for school where I could basically pick whatever I wanted to learn more about. Have you ever wanted to know why somebody did something even though they never told you why? This project is here to help with that! I've always wondered why people justify some things others don't. I will be finding out psychology whether its just why some people are more scaredy cats than others to why people kill with no remorse.
If anyone has suggestions on what they would be interested in for psychology with Emma, feel free to comment ideas!
